Who is responsible for your information?
A & S Scaffolding (Southern) Limited is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can find our registered details on our company-information page. For privacy questions, contact harrison@scaffold.uk.com or call 023 8066 9854.
What we collect and why
When you request a quote, we collect your name, email address, full site address, type of work and the job details you enter, along with your company, phone number and project start date if provided. We use these to discuss your requirements, prepare a quote and respond to you. Please only include information relevant to your project.
Where you are enquiring about work for yourself, we use this information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. For business enquiries, our legitimate interest is responding to the business contact and arranging scaffolding work. We also have a legitimate interest in protecting the enquiry service against spam and misuse.
Site addresses
The quote form asks for the full project address so our team can understand the location and arrange a site visit where needed. Address entry is manual and is not sent to an address-suggestion provider.
How your enquiry reaches us
The form sends your enquiry through our website hosting service to harrison@scaffold.uk.com. The hosting service passes the email to our business email provider, which stores it in our mailbox. The website does not maintain a separate enquiry database. Our website hosting provider may process technical access and security logs.
How long we keep enquiries
We keep quote enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 12 months. If an enquiry becomes a job, relevant information becomes part of our project and business records, with retention based on the purpose of the record and applicable legal requirements. Contact us if you need information about a particular record.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, request its deletion, restrict how it is used, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request a portable copy. These rights are not absolute. To make a request, email harrison@scaffold.uk.com.
You can raise a concern with us at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and analytics
Our own website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and our quote form does not need cookies to send an enquiry. The optional Instagram feed described below is provided by Elfsight and can use a short-lived cookie to count views.
Optional Instagram photos
Our home and project-gallery pages offer an Instagram feed supplied by Elfsight. It is off by default. No Elfsight feed is requested until you choose Show Instagram photos. You can use the rest of the website, including the enquiry form and project photographs, without loading it.
If you choose to load the feed, your browser connects to Elfsight and the services that supply its Instagram content. These requests share technical information, including your IP address and browser information. Elfsight states that its widget view-counting cookie lasts 15 seconds and that technical data collected for widget performance and abuse prevention is retained for 7 days. See Elfsight’s privacy policy for its current details.
Select Unload Instagram photos to remove the feed and stop further feed activity on this page. This does not undo information already sent to the provider. Your choice is not saved: the feed is off again when you reload the page or open another page.
Optional contact and social links
If you use an email or WhatsApp link, your chosen messaging provider handles that message. Google reviews, Instagram and Facebook also have direct links which open when you follow them. Those services have their own privacy and cookie information.
